Thank you to the Trundle community for your support in the recent consultation about the Trundle Main Street Masterplan. The Trundle Main Street Plan has now been adopted by Council. The delivery of the masterplan will be scheduled as project and grant funding becomes available.
Consultation Activities completed:
Parkes Shire Council invited members of the Trundle community and users of the Trundle main street to meet with the Council project team to develop ideas and solutions designed to improve this space to best meet the future needs of the Trundle community, and key users.
Areas that will be explored include main street character, approaches, parking, access, street furniture, pedestrian facilities, plantings, heritage and tourism opportunities.
A community drop in session was held at the Trundle Services Club on Monday 26 October from 1pm-4pm. All community members were welcome to drop-in to this session at any time to meet with the project team and discuss the masterplan development.
In addition, a detailed Enquiry by Design workshop was held with registrations by expression of interest to participate.
Update February 2021:
Masterplanning is now in progress with draft concepts presented to community stakeholders on the 1 February 2021 who participated in the Enquiry by Design Workshops. Following consideration of their feedback, the revised draft plans were presented to Council for adoption.
Adoption 16 February 2021:
At Council's meeting on Tuesday 16 February, the Trundle Main Street Masterplan was formally adopted. The delivery of the masterplan will be scheduled as project and grant funding becomes available.
